JOB DESCRIPTION

The dental clinics mentioned above are looking for a general dentist to join their teams in four dynamic municipalities in Quebec: Granby, Drummondville, Warwick and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive dental care to a diverse clientele in a modern and collaborative environment.

MAIN TASKS

  • Perform general dental examinations, diagnoses and treatments.
  • Offering personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with experienced administrative and clinical teams.
  • Ensure follow-up of patient files according to the standards of the Quebec Order of Dentists.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctorate in dental medicine (or recognized equivalent).
  • Be eligible for a license to practice in Quebec (ODQ).
  • Functional mastery of French (spoken and written).
  • A commitment to customer service and doing a good job.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The dental hygienist is responsible for welcoming the client, preparing the rooms, performing all screenings and pre-diagnoses, dental cleaning, general maintenance of treatment equipment, sanitizing the rooms and assisting the dentist in his duties, while respecting the regulations issued by the OHDQ and the ODQ.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare the room and ensure that all necessary equipment is available;
  • Perform the pre-examination/screening (medical and dental questionnaire, data collection in the mouth);
  • Assess the patient's needs following the Caries and Wear Questionnaire (CAMBRA);
  • Clean, descale and polish the patient's teeth;
  • Prepare the treatment plan and estimates;
  • Schedule appointments;
  • Aseptic and sterilization;
  • Apply fluorinated sealants and varnishes;
  • Insert the sealing materials;
  • Gathering information for orthodontic consultations;
  • Perform the Invisalign initial fitting, follow-ups and refinements under the direction of the dentist;
  • Perform the periodontal chart;
  • Maintain the equipment;
  • Assisting the dentist;
  • Take intraoral and extraoral photos;
  • Take X-rays and digital scans
  • Sharpening instruments manually and mechanically;
  • Order the equipment if necessary;
  • Conduct follow-ups with patients;
  • All other related tasks.

REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • DEC in Dental Hygiene Techniques
  • License to practice as a dental hygienist, renewed annually

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Under the supervision of the manager, the dental assistant assists the dentist during treatments, prepares the room, sterilizes instruments and treatment equipment and performs post-operative follow-ups.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the dentist during treatments;
  • Disinfect and prepare the treatment room, with all necessary instruments;
  • Verification of patient schedule, files and treatments (1 day, 1 week, 1 month);
  • Writing in the patient's file;
  • Perform post-operative follow-ups;
  • Sterilize the instruments;
  • Clean the treatment room before and after treatments;
  • Assisting with the taking of radiographs, primary impressions, casting and carving of models;
  • Calibrate, maintain and clean the equipment;
  • Prepare the treatment plan as prescribed by the dentist and explain it to the patient;
  • Send follow-up reminders;
  • All other related tasks.
