Complete prosthesis, commonly called dentures, are used to replace all the natural teeth of the upper and/or lower jaw. They stay in place because of the suction in the mouth, which means that they are also removable.
A complete prosthesis comes in two types: the immediate prosthesis and the conventional prosthesis. Both techniques are performed after the complete extraction of the teeth. However, conventional prosthesis are only installed following a healing period, while immediate prosthesis are put in place immediately after the tooth extraction.
