Originally from Vendée, France – not far from the famous Puy du Fou, where he was also an actor and falconer – Dr. Maxime Retailleau combines creativity, curiosity, and rigor in his dental practice.
A graduate of the dental school in Nantes, he began his career on Réunion Island, where he enjoyed the sun, beaches, hiking, volcanoes, scuba diving, and whale watching. He then practiced for a year in Corsica to gently readjust to the cooler climate before embarking on a new adventure.
A great travel enthusiast, Dr. Retailleau is discovering North America for the first time (outside the West Indies) and is delighted to explore new cultures and professional approaches.
He describes his arrival here as “a waking dream.” He found a caring team and a clinic that embodies the modern, collaborative vision of dentistry he had long hoped for. While the Quebec winter is a little daunting, he says he’s eager to experience it for himself.
Apart from dentistry, he has a particular affection for animals and humorously confides that his cat, currently staying with his mother, may soon obtain his work permit as a squirrel hunter.
